PROCUREMENT PROJECT MANAGER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To ensure strong, seasoned leadership in project and commodity management within Procurement, providing a deep understanding of customer requirements. Acts as the direct communication channel with the customer on all procurement-related topics throughout the project life cycle, ensuring streamlined coordination between global procurement, site procurement, and internal business stakeholders.

The role ensures achievement and maximization of material profitability targets through effective BOM cost management, Purchase Price Variance (PPV) analysis, continuous identification of internal and external cost‑reduction opportunities, and enhanced customer satisfaction - maintaining the company as a preferred vendor.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

RFQ Review, Coordination, Analysis, and Support

  • Participates in RFQ teams and validates the completeness and availability of required documentation.
  • Reviews quoted material costs for common items in RFQ projects to ensure alignment and standardization.
  • Analyzes quotes from the Global Commodity Management team and selects a quotation for BOM creation.
  • Act as the global procurement representative to ensure on-time submission of RFQ Direct Material Cost.

NPI Support

  • Supports sites with new-item quotations and secures customer approvals.
  • Monitors and controls NPI BOM cost transition to Mass Production (MP).

BOM Cost Management

  • Leads BOM cost reviews and improvement initiatives.
  • Identifies cost‑reduction and alternative-sourcing opportunities.
  • Approves standard price adjustments based on validated quotations.

RPPV and UPPV Monitoring

  • Identifies RPPV roll-up opportunities.
  • Coordinates mitigation and recovery of UPPV.

KEY RESULTS / KPIs

  • RFQ Turnaround Time (TAT)
  • RFQ Hit Rate
  • Material Margin
  • BOM Cost Analysis Accuracy
  • Standard Price vs. Quoted Price
  • Mitigated RPPV / Collected UPPV

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Engineering degree or bachelor’s in supply chain management.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in procurement, supply chain, materials management, or cost management, sourcing; experience in electronics manufacturing (EMS) working with global teams.
  • Skills & Competencies: Advanced English; SAP proficiency; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong analytical and decision‑making skills; effective communication and cross‑functional leadership.
